So, I was
stalking Maine’s social media accounts (why? Because she’s cool. Dammit) and
came across her account in ask.fm.

Here We go
Welcome to my Funeral
Without you
I don't even have a pulse
All alone it's dark and cold
With every move I die
Here I go this is my confessional
A lost cause nobody can save my soul
I am so delusional
With every move I die
I have destroyed our love its gone
Payback is sick it’s all my fault
I'm dancing with tears in my eyes
Just fighting to get through the night
I'm losing it (losing it) [x3]
With every move I die
I'm faded I'm broken inside
I've wasted the love of my life
I'm Losing it (losing it) [x3]
With every move I die
When did I become such a hypocrite
Double life, lies that you caught me in
Trust me I'm paying for it
With every move I die
On the floor I'm just a zombie
Who I am is not who I wanna be
I'm such a tragedy
With every move I die
I have destroyed our love its gone
Payback is sick it’s all my fault
I'm dancing with tears in my eyes
Just fighting to get through the night
I'm losing it (losing it) [x3]
With every move I die
I'm faded I'm broken inside
I've wasted the love of my life
I'm Losing it (losing it) [x3]
With every move I die
This is it
And now you're really gone
this time
Never once thought
I'd be in pieces left behind
I’m dancing with tears in my eyes
Just fighting to get through the night
I'm losing it (losing it) [x3]
With every move I die
I'm faded I'm broken inside
I've wasted the love of my life

Admit it. We all have bad habits in our everyday activities.
We tend to be lazy and slack off. Either we do it most of the time or occasionally, we all
did that.
However, these bad habits keep us from being productive, and we end up getting
in trouble, most of the times. It adds stress to our already stressful lives,
and time management adds another challenge.
To improve our ability to get things done, we need to break
these bad habits for us to be productive.
Bad Habits is to Bad Productivity, and Bad Productivity is
to Bad Habits.
It’s time to break these bad habits and free ourselves from
stress, additional effort, and sloth.
Here are some of the most common bad habits that affect our
productivity:
Multi-Tasking
Some of us think that this is a great way to
do more tasks in one setting. Multitasking may seem like a good idea, but
this often leads to unproductiveness. Many things get started, yet nothing is
done on time. It is best to concentrate on the most important task first,
before starting something else.
Social Media While Working
One of the most common bad
habits nowadays is to check our social media accounts while doing our tasks.
This habit breaks our concentration whenever there’s a new post or
notification. Keep your smart phones on silent mode, and log out from any
social media sites whenever you’re on your desktop.
Unclean Work Area
Having an unclean work or study area
most likely equates to unorganized thoughts. Your concentration will certainly
break seeing all the clutter in your area. It is best to work or study in a
clean and spotless desk.
Eating Snacks While Working/Studying
Another bad habit
that breaks your concentration is eating snacks while working/studying. Most likely you would get so consumed with
what you’re eating, instead of what you are working. It is best to have a
healthy meal or snack before working or studying.
Procrastination
This is one of the most common bad habits we
all have. We tend to think that our task is supposed to be done, and think
other fun things as well, or think what’s on the tube right now. Make it a
habit to do self-reinforcement by talking positively to yourself. Make sure
also, that you have got to walk the talk. Overcoming it takes a long while, but
we also must enforce discipline into our own actions.
Poor prioritization
Some of us would start working on
what’s on top of our files our desk, leaving the most important task behind
since it’s on the most bottom part of the file. It is best to scan all the
tasks that you need to do and make a checklist and rate them on its priority.
Before breaking all of the bad habits, access yourself first
what bad habits you currently have and what habits you need to break to improve
your productivity.
It is time you replace your bad habits with better ones.

It
started when I have this friend who keeps on tweeting about this pizza place in
Cagayan De Oro City. It’s called Pizza Freddo and she’s been blabbing about it personally and online! I honestly got curious and planned to check the place
out.
We
all have those days when we crave for something, and our taste buds would seek
for a certain tang. This time, my taste buds are craving for carbonaras, so I
tagged my two other buds to check out the place.
There’s
another branch of Pizza Freddo in Gran Europa but the one we went to was the
one in Patag, right in front of the day care center.
My
friend ordered her favorite Carbonara Chicken, and I followed suit. I made a
point to her that I have set my expectations high because of her constant
blabbing on how good it is.
Home-made carbonara with mushroom. Who can say no to that? |
And
alas, IT REALLY WAS!
I
am no food critic, so I can’t describe how good it was with all those flourish
words but all I can say is that my expectations were met. It succeeded my
expectations, actually. All those craving I had was gone. It had the right
cheesy taste that my taste buds enjoy. Not too much, and definitely not bland. I can say that their
carbonara is definitely the best one I’ve tasted so far.
And the aftermath? Well, look, Ma!
Their
Carbonara’s are worth a hundred and thirty bucks and it was all worth it. Quality
is indeed their recipe.
They
also have other home-made pastas and pizzas as well, for a very reasonable
price.
Go
and check Pizza Freddo out!: http://4sq.com/1BTTFtQ

Everybody loves to indulge on cold waters especially during summer as
their way to beat the summer heat. And what else will be better than dipping into
it and feel refreshed?
In Iligan City, normally, when you ask the
locals the best places to chill, common answers will be Tinago Falls, and Timoga. However, there’s another place that is now
getting a lot of attention from tourists and locals who wants to take a dip in
a cold spring water during this scorching season.
Around
25 minutes from the City proper, Lawis
Natural Springs is another hidden gem of the City. Located in Barangay
Buru-un, Lawis will definitely
satisfy your need to relax and unwind in a nature scenery.
Surrounded
by tall coconut trees, a calming breeze from the springs will welcome you after
a few minutes stroll from the main highway. The nature scenery is at its most
charming and dipping in an icy-cool, crystal clear freshwater is the best part.
There
are cottages that can be used, surrounding the natural springs, which ranges
from P75 to a hundred bucks. Few mini-stores are present, and also Karaoke’s
for those who would love to sing their hearts out while relaxing.
The
narrow and rock-strewn path from the highway to the springs could’ve been
better to provide easy access for the tourists, however, it can be considered
as part of the challenge for those adventure-seeking nature lovers.
Lawis
has a potential to be another well-known tourist spot in the region, and the
best way to preserve this God-given gift, is to be well-disciplined in
maintaining the cleanliness of our nature.

Alright. I think
some of you might think that this post’s too childish or I am too old to blog
about the Power Rangers, but hey, I’m still a kid at heart, and in case you haven’t
noticed, all of your childhood cartoons/shows are being rebooted to the silver
screen and into tv series as well. Not only Marvel’s superheroes are raking
money, reviews and fans, but also, the Power Rangers franchise. The reboot of
the first Power Rangers is currently in the works by Lionsgate (Hunger Games,
Divergent, etc.) which will be in theaters in 2016. Yeah, I am excited about that,
but that’s not what this post is about.
The new season of the
Power Rangers is here, and I must say, it’s a lot different from the last two
seasons since Saban bought back the rights of the franchise from Disney.
I’ve read a lot of negative
comments, and reactions from fans about Power
Rangers Samurai and Megaforce (including
that awful Super Megaforce), and that
includes me. I literally had to skip these two seasons and prefer watching the
Sentai or the Japanese counterpart of these seasons. Samurai and Megaforce was
dropdown horrible, from acting, to dubbing, and most importantly, the
storyline.
This new season
titled Power Rangers: Dino Charge, judging from its pilot, will be a
good season. Take note of the opening credits! No more roll calls, the casts
pauses and smiles to the camera like what we usually see in the first few
seasons of the Power Rangers series, and the awesome editing of the clips that
fit to the series’ new/revamped theme.
“Powers from the Past”, the season’s
pilot, begins with two teenagers, Tyler and Shelby, finding themselves in
possession of powerful Energems, ancient artifacts that date back to the times
of the prehistoric age. It is not long before the two find themselves under
attack from monstrous forces seeking to acquire the Energems.
For starters, all
of the cast is good-looking. They are all telegenic. If you are all about the
actors’ looks, the red ranger, Brennan Mejia, looks like Zac Efron in side view.
That alone is enough… I guess. Acting, you say? Well, I think that they are
definitely better than the casts of Megaforce. (Camille Hyde, the pink ranger’s
acting skills, is fairly promising.)
Regardless of how
cheesy the show is, I always look forward for the story-line, and Dino Charge
has IT. It has a rich story-line that would make us think of what will happen next, or who will be whom. It makes our minds work even it’s just a television show
for kids.
I thought I’d give
up rooting for the Power Rangers series, but Dino Charge definitely made me
stick to it for a bit longer. I guess we all have to thank Judd “Chip” Lynn for
coming back as the producer and giving us a good pilot for this series.

She was definitely “all about that bass” and her “lips are moving” coz what I’m gonna tell you is how HOT Meghan Trainor’s debut album is!
Since her “All About That Bass” became viral last year (aside from the fact where songs about the “bass” were last year’s theme), Meghan Trainor is still on the charts with her follow-up “Lips Are Moving”.
Now, I don’t really fall for one-hit-wonders, but Trainor is no one-hit-wonder.
Her debut album, Title, which will be released on January 13th in the US, is definitely an album worth keeping coz she got a load full of bullets for the charts.
Meghan Trainor is one of the few artists today that incorporate DooWop in their records. Although most of the hits nowadays are EDM-filled pop songs, hearing these types of songs are refreshing to the ears. I may be getting a few eyebrows raised right now but believe me, this album will definitely make your shoulders move and groove.
Title is a perfect record for easy-listening. Like those times where you just want to chill, wind up, sipping some cold lemonade, and times where you are sick of EDM+Pop songs on your iPods. The record definitely brings back Doowop Nostalgia, back when Doowops were still a thing.
Favorite Tracks
There are a lot of 5-star rated tracks in this album. But the one that stands out is the track “Title”. It’s catchy, upbeat, and lyrics are dang funny.
Get a copy of Meghan Trainor’s debut album, Title, on iTunes and Spotify.
