Little Monsters raises their paws up as a new Lady Gaga track surfaces the web. The rough demo allegedly titled “Burqa” leaks and is undeniably from Gaga’s upcoming album, “ARTPOP”.

Burqa refers toa face-veil portion is usually a rectangular piece of semi-transparent cloth whose top side is sewn to corresponding portion of the head-scarf, so that the veil hangs down loose from the scarf, and it can be turned up if the woman wishes to reveal her face (otherwise the whole face would be covered). 

The reference started in a catchy chorus as Gaga sings:

The guitar hook at the start which further transcends to the modern mix of techno beats is really something new, which may be the trend of her upcoming “ARTPOP” Era.

The song is indeed far different from the vibe of “Born This Way” and “The Fame” Eras.

They say that the best love songs are written with a broken heart. I guess that is true. Britney Spears once said in her MTV documentary “For The Record”,

So when writing a song, you don’t just fill in the music and lyrics but you’re also pouring out your soul and letting it all out in a song.

I have been writing songs since I was in high school but I always keep them to myself. Yes, they were a bit cheesy but when listening to them closely, it was a part of me that I had everything all out.

These past few days were a bit dim for me. So dim that it came to a point that I want to let it all out in a song instead of crying about it. That’s when I created this track, titled “Someday”.

Basically, it’s about love unrequited and a state of feeling when you are being ignored by the one you love most. The state that I am in with my current flame inspired me to write this track.

It started with the line “Someday/ Someday/ I’ll find my way/ to spend me your time.” From this line, I was also inspired by my friend’s dilemma (which is surprisingly similar to mine) that his partner was far too busy to communicate with him.

The song continued to its chorus, “I was born to love you/ and born to be with you/ that’s what I want to do.” It is a line stating that despite of being ignored, one is still willing to love unconditionally.

Mariah Carey’s follow-up to her not-so-triumphant single, “Triumphant (Get Em)”, has just been released. “Almost Home” features Carey in her most comfortable genre. Produced by Starlight, the same team who brought “S&M”, “Firework” and “Diamonds” in full production, “Almost Home” presents a cool vibe in which you would want to sing along to.

The said track serves as the Official Soundtrack for Disney’s Oz The Great & Powerful.

These hot hot British boys are back to make us swoon. After countless teasers (which reminds me a lot of Britney Spears’s countless teasers before the video premiere of ‘Hold It Against Me’ last 2011), the official video for their new single “Kiss You” has been released.

Vaughan Arnell returns to the Director’s Seat for the third time for the band’s third single from their second album, “Take Me Home”. This uptempo, up-beat dance pop track was written by Kristoffer Fogelmark, Kristian Lundin, Albin Nedler, Rami Yacoub, Savan Kotecha and Carl Falk and produced by Yacoub and Falk, who produced the 1D smash hits, “What Makes You Beautiful”, “One Thing”, and “Live While Were Young”.

The video features the boys, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson, on a video shoot with these sequences: riding a motorcycle and a car, in a jail, surfing, skiing, and all sorts of craziness. Although I was hoping for a music video that would coincide with the song’s lyrics, but it turns out that it’s not.

It’s a fun video to watch, to be honest. They have retained their taste in music videos, which is purely having fun, and that’s just basically it. This time around, I find their formula too common now since their music videos were all about having fun, without really connecting with the song’s lyrics. Comparing it to “What Makes You Beautiful”, “One Thing”, “Live While We’re Young”, and this new video of theirs, I find it mostly the same. I would still love to see the band in a uniquely made music video. Song wise, it’s a pretty cool pop track that I would love to play while driving, or strolling at the mall.
