Who Sang It Better: G.R.L vs. Britney Spears for "Tik Tik Boom"

It’s
another round of “Who Sang It Better”
and today it’s a track titled “Tik Tik Boom” originally by the
so-called new Pussycat Dolls, G.R.L, against the version of Britney Spears from her latest album, Britney
Jean.
G.R.L. was created by
choreographer/director Robin Antin as a reboot of sorts of the Pussycat Dolls, which disbanded in 2010.
They are consisted of Lauren Bennett (of Paradiso Girls
fame and was featured on LMFAO's smash hit "Party Rock Anthem”), Simone
Battle (of X Factor USA fame), Paula Van Oppen (of So You Think You
Can Dance fame), up-and-coming songstress Natasha Slayton and "Get
Down" songstress (and Bates Motel actress), Emmalyn Estrada. A demo
of the track surfaced online after they recorded it months ago, and eventually
got scrapped from their record.

The
fate of the song continues as the song has now passed to Britney Spears and eventually got on the official tracklist for her
new record, Britney Jean. The song was totally redone (and with collaboration
of T.I.) while the lyric of the first
and second verses including the chorus remained the same.

The
vibes from the two versions are totally different, having G.R.L’s version with
a Pussycat Dolls signature vibe, while Britney’s definitely a club-banger,
makes you wanna grind to every beat.
So,
who sang it better? My vote goes for Britney Spears’ version. It suits her
vocally, the beat was far better than G.R.L’s version and it's really something to
groove on.
