Hittin' Replay: Ooh La La by Britney Spears (The Smurfs 2 Soundtrack)

Yes, I’m a HUGE Britney Spears fan, but I tried to keep this blog less to become a Britney Fan Blog. It’s just that I could not deny that I have been playing her leaked track over and over and over again!

Her new track “Ooh La La”, which is also the Official Soundtrack of The Smurfs 2, had surfaced the web. Produced by Dr. Luke, Britney confirms that the track was legit, yet it was still a “demo” and that final track is said to be released on June 16. Now, judging if the leaked track was the real thing or “demo” is hard. The sugary-filled pop track sounds like it’s in its final mix already, but if it really is still a demo, GAHD!, I can’t wait what the real thing would sound like!

“Ooh La La” has been receiving good responses and some flak for being too ordinary and was expecting more of an upbeat track. I think it’s an excellent single, whose main target are the kids since the track serves as the theme for a movie for KIDS!

The music video was said to be in the works and a possible cameo appearances of Britney’s sons, Jayden and Sean Preston, is still in negotiation.

Check out the official theme of The Smurfs 2!

Thursday Throwback: Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" Turns 11

Avril Lavigne is the first pop-rock artist I adore. When I was uber addicted to Britney Spears, Avril made me avoid from that path down to obsession over Britney. Released in 2002, Avril’s carrier single “Complicated” became a smash hit, and it was very popular back when I was in High School.

Lavigne released her latest track “Here’s To Never Growing Up” and seeing her in her signature “Skater Girl” look, brings back memories!

For my Thursday Throwback, celebrating its 11th Anniversary, here’s Avril Lavigne’s 1st single, “Complicated”.

Demi Lovato's Most Emotional Track...Yet

It’s been awhile since I haven’t blog any tracks that I fancy. Albums by Jessica Sanchez, and Demi Lovato were just released, and I can say, yeah, some of the songs are great, but between the two, I love DEMI more than Jessica Sanchez’ Me, You And The Music.

Demi recently released a track which is only exclusive if you purchase the album via Target. The bonus track is entitled “I Hate You, Don’t Leave Me” and for me, this is the best emotional track she has ever written. I literally, shed a tear while listening to this song. Her latest album is full of ballads and emotional songs but this track is way way more emotional.

Check the song out:

Hey Journal!: Skipping Summer 2013

Summer classes suck!  I know. I used to think it’s all right but now, I take it back. Yes, it may be the worse season of the year for being so hot (all thanks to Global Warming), it’s also the best time to chill and enjoy the waves of the beach, and party with friends.

But being in school sucks all that summer fantasies. With a heavy heart, I have to skip all those summer happenings just to finish all my courses for my second degree. But then, all those summer tweets, Instagram posts and even FB posts are making me like a green-eyed monster!

While some of them are taking the plunge:

I’m here being like:

While some of them are enjoying the sun with their best swimwear:

I’m here being like:

While some of them are dancing’ to those awesome summer beats:

I’m here being like:

While some of them are having the time of their lives:

I’m here being like:

While they’re surrounded with friends:

I’m left here with:

But since the Summer Semester is coming to an end, I am looking forward of meeting my friends again for the upcoming semester. Although, skipping a Summer Adventure makes my year incomplete.

(B.T.W. Sorry for using Justin Bieber GIFs. I can't think of any other gifs that's summer related.)

Writing "Someday"

They say that the best love songs are written with a broken heart. I guess that is true. Britney Spears once said in her MTV documentary “For The Record”,

...Your Music is the reflection of what you’re going through

So when writing a song, you don’t just fill in the music and lyrics but you’re also pouring out your soul and letting it all out in a song.

I have been writing songs since I was in high school but I always keep them to myself. Yes, they were a bit cheesy but when listening to them closely, it was a part of me that I had everything all out.

These past few days were a bit dim for me. So dim that it came to a point that I want to let it all out in a song instead of crying about it. That’s when I created this track, titled “Someday”.

Basically, it’s about love unrequited and a state of feeling when you are being ignored by the one you love most. The state that I am in with my current flame inspired me to write this track.

It started with the line “Someday/ Someday/ I’ll find my way/ to spend me your time.” From this line, I was also inspired by my friend’s dilemma (which is surprisingly similar to mine) that his partner was far too busy to communicate with him.

The song continued to its chorus, “I was born to love you/ and born to be with you/ that’s what I want to do.” It is a line stating that despite of being ignored, one is still willing to love unconditionally.

Here are the lyrics:

Someday, Someday
I'll find my way
To spend me ur time

Someday, Someday
I'll find my way
to have u mine

When our love started,
Whole new world caved in
It was a paradise I could find

Suddenly something changed
Is it me, or my ways
of showing you what I felt inside

Coz I was born to love you
Born to be with you
and that's what I wanna do
Coz I was born to love you
and born to be with you
and that's what I love to do
I Miss You

Someday, Someday
I'll find my way
To spend me ur time

When our love started,
Whole new world caved in
It was a dream- come-true I could find

Suddenly something changed
Is it me, or my ways
of showing you what I felt inside

And here’s the track. Check it out:
